FIFA 18 RATING CHANGES: How the latest edition is different from the last one

September 29th, the date for which every football fan across the globe is eagerly waiting. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s the date when gamers would finally be able to continue Alex Hunter’s “JOURNEY” to greatness, try out interactive negotiations in Manager Mode, experience the new immersive atmospheres of stadiums, build their own FUT squads and battle against opponents sitting in the remotest corners of the world, but most importantly: feel the rush of the ball hitting the back of the net.

EA SPORTS has kept its customers intrigued by releasing the player ratings and then most recently the DEMO version. The 90+ or the ELITE player ratings didn’t shock many with very minute differences in ratings and stats as compared to FIFA17. However, there are a few surprises for the below 90 rated players and here we look at some of the major changes from the last edition:

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Time seems to have caught up even with the self-proclaimed God as is visible not only by Zlatan’s drop in overall and pace, but also his game card face.

2. Thiago

One of the biggest gainers in the newest edition, Bayern Munich’s midfield maestro sees an OVR rise of 4 points with a 5 point rise in DEF stats and a 3 point rise in PASSING.

3. N’GoloKante

The highest riser in the top 100 players, the French destroyer seed a rise of 6 points in his OVR with minor improvements in all the statistics.

4. Christian Eriksen

The Dane also sees a 3 point rise in his OVR after another 2nd place finish for Spurs with a 4 point rise in the PASSING stats.

5. Isco

After finally proving his worth to Zidane with some stellar performances in the latter half of the previous season, the Spanish wizard sees a 2 point rise in OVR with a mammoth 8 point rise in SHOOTING and a 3 point rise in DRIBBLING.

6. Marco Reus

The injury plagued career of the German wide man is starting to take its toll on his FIFA ratings. Reus drops in OVR from 88 to 86 with minute drops in PACE and DRIBBLING.

7. Casemiro

Another Real Madrid man from Zidane’s double winners, the Brazilian CDM seed a 3 point rise in OVR with a 4 point increment in the DEFENCE stat.

8. Marco Asensio

We finish off with the rising superstar of the Los Blancos and one of the 2017 UCL final goal scorers, Marco Asensio. The Spaniard sees a lot of improvement in his stats with a 3 point rise in OVR, 6 point rise in PACE and a whopping 9 point rise in SHOOTING.
